After Care

  • Ombre Powder Brows

Wash & Moisturize (4 times a day for 4 days):
    • Serous production is normal and healthy, but when it dries on top of the implanted ink, it will create a scab which will pull out the ink when removed. By washing off the serous fluid before it dries and scab, will improve retention.

    • Moisturize brows with ointment that’s specifically made for healing tattoos. Ointment should be non-comedogenic and non-petroleum based (no Vaseline, coconut oil, etc.)

    Washing Instructions:

Using clean fingertips, massage the brows with a gentle cleanser (cleansers by Cerave and Cetaphil are best) and lukewarm water. Avoid cleansers that have oils, charcoal and acids. Gently pat dry with a soft tissue and apply a rice grain amount of the provided lotion after each wash. Begin washing your brows about 1 hour after your service. After the 4th day, leave the brows alone and do not wash or apply ointment as to not disrupt the flaking.

    Activities to avoid:
    • Excessive sweating from exercising or heat exposure.
    • Getting your brows/forehead wet outside of instructed washing (shower/saunas/pools)
    • Tanning bed use or excessive UV ray exposure at any point after having brows tattooed will result in discoloration and fading
    • Always let estheticians know of any permanent makeup procedures before receiving services
    • Do not pick at flaking or possible scabbing. This will pull the ink out permanently
    • Avoid Retin A, retinol, tretinoin, vitamin A, or oils on forehead at any point after having brows tattooed
    • No lotion, non-gentle cleansers, or makeup should be applied to the brows until they are done flaking

What to expect during healing period:
    • After treatment, it is normal to feel a sunburned sensation for a few days followed by dry, itchy, or tender skin
    • Brows will appear darker and bolder a few days after the appointment due to swelling & ink oxidation
    • During the next 4-6 weeks, the brows will typically lighten & shrink 30-50%.
    • Healing process takes approximately 4-6 weeks. Touch ups can take place any point after 6 weeks
    • As your brows heal, vou may notice color change, disappear, and reappear as they settle. Color may flake off and appear softer and less visible but will slowly reappear over the next few weeks
    • This is normal and why two appointments may be necessary. Be patient and know that this is the part of the normal and expected healing process

  • Lash lift

What to avoid in the first 24-48 hours:
    • Heat and steam
    • Steer clear of rich products such as eye creams, face oils, mascaras and makeup removers
    • Sleep on your back the first 48 hours to maintain result. Sleeping on the side of your face or face down can set your new lash lift in a new unpleasant direction and shape
    • Avoid rubbing eyes in the first 48 hours
    • Brush lashes daily with spoolie
    • Use a nourishing lash serum to keep lashes hydrated. This helps to prevent dryness and maintain the health of your lashes

  • Brow Lamination/Tint/Stain

    • Do not wet brows for 24-48 hours
    • When washing your face after 24-48 hours, be gentle around the brow area. Use a mild cleanser and avoid scrubbing your brows
    • Avoid rubbing/scrubbing brows to maintain longer skin tint/stain
    • Brush laminated brows upwards daily with spoolie to desired shape to keep them neat and tidy
    • Avoid using chemical and physical exfoliation on brows for 72 hours after lamination treatment
    • Avoid any extremes of temperature for 24 hours post treatment. e.g. hot showers, steam baths, sunbeds or saunas. Heat can weaken the bonds in the hair and reduce the effectiveness of the treatment
    • Do not apply make-up, creams, oils or products with alcohol on the brow area for at least 24 hours after treatment as the oil can break down the solution used in the perm
    • Use a nourishing brow serum to keep your brows hydrated. This helps to prevent dryness and maintain the health of your brow hairs
    • Best to wait at least 24 hours before applying any makeup to your brows. This allows the setting solution to fully bond with the hair, ensuring that your brows stay in place

  • Brow Wax

    • Avoid extreme heat (saunas, hot baths, steam room, etc.)
    • Avoid physical or chemical exfoliants on face 48 hours after brow wax. Skin is highly sensitive and any exfoliants can excessively irritate it
    • Avoid perfumed products on fresh waxed skin for at least 24 hours
    • If skin is itchy or inflamed, applying aloe vera or cortisone will help relieve irritation
